The Meyer Sound ULTRA-X40 WP is a compact, high-performance, self-powered point source loudspeaker designed for both portable use and permanent installations, including demanding outdoor environments. It combines advanced technology from Meyer Sound's flagship line array systems with a highly efficient three-channel Class D amplifier and integrated DSP, delivering up to 1950 watts of peak power in a remarkably small and lightweight enclosure.
At its core is a concentric driver configuration, featuring dual 8-inch low-frequency drivers and a 3-inch high-frequency compression driver mounted on a rotatable Constant-Q horn. This design ensures smooth frequency response, excellent phase coherence, and consistent coverage down to around 400 Hz, making the speaker highly predictable and easy to deploy in a wide range of system designs.
The ULTRA-X40 is known for its exceptional power-to-size ratio, delivering high output levels and low distortion while maintaining precise imaging and clarity. Its wide 110° by 50° coverage pattern, combined with rotatable horn flexibility, allows it to be used in both horizontal and vertical orientations, adapting easily to different applications such as main PA, front fill, delays, or distributed systems.
